Profile Ri Na

Dr. Ri Na is an Associate Professor of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the University of Delaware, and she specializes in Building Information Modeling (BIM), applications of virtual and augmented reality, and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV)–based infrared thermography for infrastructure inspection and digital twin development. She has sponsored projects directing UAV-assisted non-destructive concrete bridge assessments and has pioneered methods for transportation engineering practice and education to bring BIM and simulation together. Dr. Na has authored numerous journal articles and conference papers on digital construction, energy-efficient buildings, and intelligent infrastructure monitoring, and she serves on editorial boards and as reviewer at leading-edge premier journals in areas related to infrastructure and construction systems. Her research and teaching emphasize applied, technology-enabled solutions to promote civil and aeronautical infrastructure safety, sustainability, and workforce training.
